The air filters sold on the market are not classified according to their product quality, nor are they distinguished by individual models, but more by their filtering effects. For example, the first effect, medium effect, and high efficiency filters, so what is the difference between these three filters, and what is the difference in the replacement cycle? Let's learn about it with the editor today!
Primary Air Filter
The first-effect air filter can be known by its name. It is a relatively common and widely used filter. It is a frame made of non-deformable metal such as moisture-proof cardboard or stainless steel. The filter layer is made of chemical fibers and man-made fibers, and the folding of the filter layer increases the filtering area and improves the filtering accuracy.

Primary air filters are already very common, the price is also very cheap, and the cost performance is relatively high. Nowadays, whether it is a school, or a daily home, a factory, or an office, in terms of air filtration, basically choose a primary air filter. Although the initial effect filter can only achieve the most basic air filtration, and the accuracy is relatively low, the more common dust and suspended solids in the air can be filtered out, and the filtering effect is still very good. The air is also relatively cleaner, which can meet the air purification needs of most people.
Medium-efficiency air filter
Medium-efficiency air filters are mainly used in central air-conditioning filtration, as well as purification filtration in the fields of biopharmaceuticals, electronics, and food. Secondly, the medium-efficiency filter is generally used in the front end of the high-efficiency filter to reduce the serious damage caused by the high-load workload to the high-efficiency filter and prolong the service life of the high-efficiency filter. Compared with other filters, one of the biggest advantages of medium-effect filters is that the windward surface is large, and then the amount of empty dust is large.
The medium-effect air filter can filter suspended solids or particles of 1μm ~ 5μm, the maximum temperature can reach 80 ℃, and the maximum humidity can reach 80 ℃. It has the advantages of large air volume, small resistance, large dust removal, and reusable.
High efficiency air filter
The high efficiency air filter has higher filtration accuracy and can collect and filter suspended particles and air impurities of 0.5μm. The filter layer uses ultra-fine glass fiber to ensure filtration accuracy. The multi-pleated design increases the filtration area and ventilation volume, and reduces filtration resistance. When choosing a high-efficiency air filter, the size of the working area should be determined according to different air volumes.

Air filter replacement cycle
The replacement cycle is also different for the three different air filters. Under normal circumstances, the fresh air system inlet filter replacement cycle is about a week to clean once; coarse filter replacement cycle is 1 to 2 months; medium filter replacement cycle is 2 to 4 months; sub-high efficiency filter replacement cycle is more than one year; high efficiency filter replacement cycle is 2 to 3 years. (The above data analysis is for reference only, and the replacement cycle is mainly determined by the filtering environment)
In short, when choosing an air filter, you must choose the appropriate filter according to your own requirements and application scenarios. The medium-effect filter can be cleaned and needs to be cleaned regularly according to the actual use. This can reduce the workload of the high-efficiency filter and extend its service life. Today's sharing is over, I hope it can be helpful to everyone!
